The screen shot below shows an example of locating a Phase II wireless call. The white star indicates the location of the wireless call. This is all the FCC requires of PSAP’s to be Phase II compliant.
We take Phase II to the next level.
The yellow star indicates the location of the nearest address. The information boxes below the map shows the nearest address to the wireless call, as well as, the distance in feet along with a bearing in degrees to the wireless call. In this example, a hunter is down in a field and calls 911. By using the nearest address, the dispatcher sends help to 1166 Roland Branch Rd and directs them to go approximately 1,494 feet, 72 degrees from north.
